I had a two day stay with my dog and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I had a lovely spacious room which had everything I needed. The food was great and I particularly enjoyed the fish and chips which were one of the best I've had! A great place to stay.
A beautiful pub full of history and original features serving great food and beer brewed next door as well as popular options. Very friendly and inviting atmosphere with a real “village” feel to it. It feels like the heart of the community kind of place. Highly recommend.
Love this place. A proper pub, with a micro brewery, multiple winner of real ale awards, great atmosphere, excellent staff. Have had several short stays there this year and planning a few more, looking forward to a few cosy nights with the dogs after a day's exploring, in front of the log fire with a meal and a drink.
Had lunch there on Saturday. Fabulous top quality locally sourced food, very reasonably priced. Recommend the steak & stilton baguette. Top quality real ales from their own Clun Brewery behind the pub. A great traditional pub with friendly staff.
What a lovely find, we were looking for a cosy pub stay to get us through January and this was just the ticket. Rooms are comfortable, clean and cosy. The pub itself was so welcoming the owner, staff and even the locals were lovely. Staff were very obliging and nothing was too much trouble. The meals are wonderful home made and red hot when served. Breakfast was particularly nice and the Sunday lunch was exceptional. Weather wasn't the best so we spent the afternoon in front of the roaring fire listening to the banter from the friendly locals. We loved it so much we stayed the extra night. We will definitely be returning to The white horse, Thankyou
My husband and I had an overnight stay here and loved it from the moment we walked into the pub. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were extremely welcoming and attentive. The meal in the evening was excellent and there was a great, friendly atmosphere in the pub as the evening progressed. The breakfast the following morning was perfect before we headed off home. We were able to charge our EV overnight in the Clun Castle car park and was a short walk over the bridge to the pub. We would definitely stay here again.
Great. Easy to deal with, excellent value for money. Hearty home cooked breakfast . Extremely good beers brewed on site and reasonably priced. Suet pudding to die for. In the middle of the Shropshire hills. Ruins of a Club castle a few meters away by the river and lots of local history. Beautiful.
